Getting Started with NoteWithMe: Your Complete Setup Guide

Welcome to NoteWithMe

NoteWithMe is a smart personal productivity assistant that helps you capture ideas, manage tasks with deadlines, collaborate in real time, and stay organized across every area of your life and work.

This guide walks you through everything you need to get started. It takes under 10 minutes.

1. Create Your Account

Go to notewithme.app/en/register and sign up with your email. No credit card required and no time limit on the free account.

2. The Dashboard: What You're Looking At

Sidebar (left): Your projects list, navigation, and quick settings.

Task List (center): The tasks in your currently selected project, with priority indicators, deadlines, and completion status.

Quick Capture (top of task list): A text field that's always visible. Type any task and press Enter to add it instantly.

Detail Panel (right): When you click a task, its details appear here — description, subtasks, due date, priority, and assignees.

3. Create Your First Project

Click New Project in the sidebar. Give it a name that reflects a real area of your life or work:

  • "Work — Q2 Projects"
  • "Personal"
  • "Side Project: App Name"

Good project names are specific enough that you know immediately where a task belongs.

4. Add Your First Tasks

Click in the Quick Capture field and type your first task. Press Enter. Add a few more:

  • Type a task, press Enter
  • Type another, press Enter

Don't worry about organization yet. Just capture everything that's on your mind.

5. Set Deadlines and Priorities

Click on any task to open the Detail Panel. From here you can set:

  • Due Date — Click the date field and select when this needs to be done
  • Priority — Choose from None, Low, Medium, or High
  • Description — Add context, details, links, or notes
  • Subtasks — Break larger tasks into smaller steps

6. Set Up Reminders

With deadlines set, enable reminders in SettingsNotifications.

Choose your notification channel:

  • Email — Enter your email address and enable reminders
  • Discord — Create a webhook and paste the URL
  • Telegram — Find @NoteWithMeBot and enter your Chat ID

Enable Deadline Reminders. You'll get notifications 24 hours and 1 hour before each task is due.

7. Invite a Collaborator

In your project, click the Share icon. Enter your collaborator's email and choose their role:

  • Editor — Can add, edit, and complete tasks
  • Viewer — Read-only (good for clients or stakeholders)

Changes you or they make appear in real time — no refresh needed.

8. Use Voice Capture

Tap the microphone icon in Quick Capture. Say your task, and NoteWithMe transcribes it. Supported languages: English (en-US) and Vietnamese (vi-VN).

9. Install as a PWA

For the best experience, install NoteWithMe as a Progressive Web App:

  • iPhone (Safari): Share button → Add to Home Screen
  • Android (Chrome): Menu → Install App
  • Desktop (Chrome/Edge): Install icon in address bar

Once installed, NoteWithMe loads instantly and works offline.

10. Your Daily Workflow

Morning:

  • Scan tasks and identify today's 3 priorities
  • Mark them High priority or move to a "Today" project

Throughout the day:

  • Add tasks as they arise using Quick Capture
  • Use voice capture when hands-free

Evening:

  • Mark completed tasks done
  • Process anything new in your inbox
  • Check tomorrow's deadlines
